2021 Chevrolet Blazer Interior

April 11th, 2021 by

For more than 30 years, the Blazer moniker was part of the Chevrolet lineup until its reintroduction with a stylish new look in 2019. But this Blazer is more than just a pretty face. Underneath its sleek skin lies an interior that makes the new Chevrolet Blazer a thrill to drive. Keep reading to learn more about the Blazer’s seating, cargo capacity, technology, and safety features.

Seating

The Blazer offers plenty of interior space, whether you’re venturing on a cross-country road trip or a cross-town trip to a favorite restaurant. Five adults can ride comfortably in the new Blazer. Front-row passengers enjoy nearly 40 inches of headroom, 41 inches of legroom, and just over 59 inches of shoulder room.

Rear-row passengers have only slightly less headroom, legroom, and shoulder room. Rear headroom approaches 39 inches, while legroom and shoulder room top out at nearly 40 inches and 59 inches, respectively.

An esthetically pleasing appearance enhances the spacious interior. The Blazer enjoys a Camaro-inspired two-tone color scheme that offers a sporty feel. Soft-touch plastics and plush cloth upholstery offset the Blazer’s exterior ruggedness. Cloth seats are standard on all Blazer trim levels, although leather seating is available.

Cloth seats that are merely comfortable are not enough for an automaker that sets its standards as high as Chevrolet does. Chevy enhances the Blazer’s seating with heated, ventilated, and power-adjustable front seats. Ambient interior lighting adds intrigue and convenience to nighttime driving. Take the chill off frosty mornings with the heated and power-adjustable steering wheel. Keep your cool on a warm day with automatic dual-zone climate contol, standard on every Blazer.

Back-row passengers also enjoy such creature comforts as heated outboard seats. Do your back-row passengers require child safety seats? Secure them with confidence using the LATCH connectors on the outboard seats. The middle seat contains a tether anchor.

If your desired Blazer trim levels don’t feature the interior amenities you desire, don’t despair. With the Enhanced Convenience package, you can add heated or ventilated seats or a power steering wheel to your Blazer. Other package options include a driver’s seat that remembers your unique positioning settings. You can also get all-weather floor mats, perfect for keeping muddy boots or paws from ruining your Blazer’s carpet.

Cargo Room

The beauty of an SUV is that it is not only an effective people-mover but also an effective cargo-mover. When you need to move your stuff, you’ll enjoy more than 30.5 cubic feet of space in the Blazer cargo area with the rear seats elevated. Fold the 60-40 rear seat partially down for extra space or fully down for the maximum 64.2 cubic feet of space. Access your cargo area with the convenience of the power liftgate, which comes on the 3LT, RS, and Premium trims.

Sometimes, what you need to haul isn’t large items like home-improvement supplies or luggage. You might need to haul smaller items that can shift and slide easily in such a large cargo area. No worries. Chevrolet has you covered with available Chevy Trail Blazer accessories, such as an adjustable cargo fence, a horizontal cargo net, a vertical cargo net, or rubber cargo area mats. Keep your belongings out of sight with the available cargo area shade. A tinted rear window, available on the 1LT trim and higher, also keeps the sun and eyes out of your cargo area.

Stow other smaller items throughout your Blazer in a host of cubbyholes scattered throughout the vehicle. You’ll find storage in all four door panels and at the front and rear of the center console.

Technology

An 8-inch touchscreen graces the dashboard of every 2021 Blazer regardless of trim level. That touchscreen is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. When your Apple or Android device needs a quick charge, connect it to one of the four USB ports on the center console. These ports are also standard on every Blazer. You can even connect to Bluetooth devices, and your Blazer’s infotainment center will respond to voice commands.

Whether you use your infotainment center to project your curated playlist, the available Sirius XM, or your local radio station, you’ll hear it all through the six-speaker BOSE surround sound. Higher trim levels offer an eight-speaker option.

Available upgrades include a 120-volt outlet, Wi-Fi hotspot, navigation, and wireless charging capabilities. If you enjoy using your Amazon Alexa device at home, you can also connect to it your Blazer via Alexa Built-In. You can also entertain rear passengers with dual 8-inch screens and a DVD player. Both the screens and DVD player can be customized to any Blazer trim level.

Want to control what your Blazer is doing on the exterior from the comfort of the interior? The Driver Mode Selector dial helps you configure how you want your Blazer to perform to make the most of its capabilities. Available modes include Tour, All-Wheel Drive, Tow/Haul, Off-Road, or Sport. Tour is a front-wheel drive, fuel-efficient mode, while All-Wheel Drive improves traction in poor weather. Tow/Haul is useful when you are trailering or towing, and Off-Road mode controls the throttle and chassis systems for rough terrain. Just want to have fun? Turn the dial to Sport Mode.
